The Collaborative Research Center 673 "Alignment in Communication" at the University of Bielefeld is happy to announce its first workshop on "Games in Communication".

The workshop will take place on the 9. & 10. of November 2006 at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research (ZiF), University of Bielefeld. The first day features a keynote lecture of

Prof. em. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Reinhard Selten,
Nobel laureate for economics 1994,

who will talk about "the emergence of simple languages in a coordination experiment" ("Entstehung einfacher Sprachen in einem Koordinations-Experiment").


On the second day there will be six invited talks on various topics surrounding the workshop
theme, delivered by Johan van Benthem, Robert van Rooij, Kris de Jaegher,
Frank Riedel, Christina Pawlowitsch, and Gerhard Jäger. Please see the program for details.

The Workshop is open to the general public and we would like to invite you to participate.
